CEH v8 - preparation question

in CEH
I have 10 years experience, CISSP, masters degree in information systems from a division I university, Oracle 11G OCA, bleh, blah bleh.
I have a good awareness about IT management, technical hands on with software, networking appliances, and overall awareness of security concepts.

I studied on my own for CISSP for 2 weeks, and passed it in 2010.
I'm very familiar with Kali, and have the sort of "2600" mindset if that makes sense to any of you.


Is CEH worht studying for up to 2 weeks, or a week for?
Or is it doable with just a few days of studying given my quick synopsis.

Not trying to sound like an egotistical nose up in the air kind of person, I'm just wondering if it is doable this quickly(next week).
A co-worker said it was easier for him then even security+

    Bummer. My rant doesn't apply then.

    If you are familiar with the material and know your way around the tools I don't see any problem with your plan. I took the test recently and just read the Matt Walker book as a review.

    We obviously have no way to evaluate what you actually know of the CEH material, how well you would study, or how well you would do with the format of the CEH exam, but the passing score is only 70%, so with your experience I would say a week spent understanding what's in the entire Walker book might be all you need for a pass. It's certianly worth the risk if need the cert ASAP and your employer is paying for it.

    Not quite ready for OSCP yet. Need a lot more hands on training for that.


    Missed CEH by "this" much.

    only 4 questions.
    Studied for two days, my ego got the best of me :)

    Taking it again in two weeks.
