[Deleted User][Deleted User] Senior MemberPosts: 0 ■■□□□□□□□□
Taking the Server+ once more this Wednesday. Last time I got 723 so I cam dang close. I have been using Trainsignal course mostly and reviewed my old A+ material. Hopefully things work out this time around. Any advice going into this exam? I hope to pass this exam and then retake the CCENT since I was 3 points from that exam 2 times now.

    I only really used the PrepLogic Mega Guide and tried to take as many online practice exams as possible. The exam was pretty straight-forward but I feel like I had to really pay attention to how the question was put together. Sometimes, the meat of the question would lead you one way only to have one little phrase make it a different answer.

    That's from my post about my pass. Just make sure to know RAID well and how to implement it with modern storage including some virtualization. Re-read the question(s) to make sure they don't throw you a curveball to change the answer. Also, just be confident in your thought process and try not to talk yourself out of an answer you are certain of because of a trick answer.

    Good luck! You got this! icon_thumright.gif

    Thanks Fuz1on! I have been on a down streak recently with cert exams. I come close but not enough to pass. Kinda sucks. I hope this time I can knock it out and get a confidence boost to tackle on ICND1 for a 3rd time now.

    I'm taking it at PearsonVUE since I already have a prepaid voucher there. It is a good price but I just think that in the event of technical issues, I'm not sure if they would let you take it again. Plus I'm not sure if they give you a score report sheet after the exam. Do they give you one?

    I have wanted to take the Server+ for a long time just for fun but could not justify the high cost. I may do it though since it is only $99.

    I know this question has been asked several times but did you guys who took the exam recently find any value career wise or did you just take it for personal satisfaction?

    Just for shits and giggles for me. It's valid for life so why not. Got 723 needed 750. I'm giving it one more go. If it doesn't work out, then back to CCENT. It doesn't have a lot of weight in industry but it is a good review from A+ should you want a refresher.

    @kMasta Yeah - it's the same everything - cept you're at home! icon_cheers.gif

    @sthomas I actually don't know. I took for both career and personal enrichment...that costs $99! icon_cool.gif I have been getting more job app replies which probably isn't just because of Server+ but it probably doesn't hurt either. I see it as a cheap way to increase ur own popularity power and position with HR...

    Well I failed with a 683 did worse the second time around when I got 723 the first time. I'm going to sell my last Server+ voucher for $200 if anyone is interested. I'm just going to focus on my CCENT and go from there. I guess I have to throw in the fowl on Server+ and accept defeat. This doesn't have any value anyways other then it is valid for life. It's not worth pursuing it anyways. PM me if interested in buying this voucher.

    Damn dude, that sucks, but with proctorU currently offering the exam for $99, I don't think you'll get many bites until that offer is gone.

    I just passed it with passed the Server+ myself using proctorU.
