I used to work in a hospital but I wanted to get certified instead of letting only my experience speak - the double whammy skill credibility!

Only 7 chapters so it shouldn't be that bad...I think?!

Honestly, most of the material is a review of stuff I did at work. I helped a hospital with enterprise migration as a project lead then landed a full-time position there doing network/desktop. While there, I was in charge and part of many lean and transformative projects (ie. wireless ap, thin clients/virtualization).

Lifetime. The way I see it, the healthcare niche is just going to grow so having this in your back pocket - especially for 98 bucks - isn't a bad deal at all. Plus, it helps me prove to potential employers that my experience matches my skill set/knowledge-base.

Congrats. I took HIT about a year, or two. I thought it was pretty basic, but decent review of terminology and info from when I worked for an health insurance company.

Thanks! Yup - I felt it gave me a good review of my experience at a hospital which is what I wanted to validate with this cert.

This exam was kind of like part A+, part N+, part Sec+, and part compliance. I thought it was a pretty decent overview of the typical work environment in a hospital. No curveballs, pretty straightforward.

I'm glad they didn't discontinue it like they were planning on doing. I think it still serves a purpose.
