Hang in there, and try again. Study your weak domains. You'll get it the next time I'm sure.

Sorry that you did not pass, I am sure that is a terrible feeling after all your hard work, just remember, you can retake and pass it.

Why do you think you didn't pass?

It is an *awful* feeling- and not easy to swallow since I am paying for the exams myself.

This is the question. Here are my guesses (which, of course I will address/study for the next attempt).

    1. Simulations. There were more than a few- I can only guess that since neither of the 2 books I used to study with (nor the Messer Vids) had simulations, that I may not have scored well enough on them. I missed questions in 19 of the 33 domains - about 50% of domain 1,2,3,4,5,6.
    A 600 score of 900.

    2. I did not have the Prowse or Gibson Books/study material that many here have reported to be valuable/content equivalent to the exam.
This one is my best guess as I have different study materials... so different results. The sources/authors I used on previous exams did not get me where I needed to be on this particular exam.

    So now I must..

    1. Pay for more study materials

    2. Pay for another exam

    3. Spend a lot more time (of note: I spent more time on this exam then any of the previous 3 exams that I passed on the first go)

gosh - that's a lot of grumbling from me- I am a bit miffed it seems, sorry to go on about it (its still fresh).

Thank you all for the well wishing and advice- it has a very positive impact and I really appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about your results! I'd pick up Darril's book for your next attempt.

Good luck and hang in there. You'll get it next time! Study and work hard!

Cool. I feel it's always better to get a few different books; just in case, one writing style works better for you. Do you have any idea about what mistakes you made on the performance-based/simulation questions? Try to visualize and/or replicate it with VMs or lab sims. You're probably gonna get something similar next time - maybe some of the same questions. I really can't say because I passed SYO-301.
