Entry level certification course to learn Windows Servers

Which would be an appropriate entry certification course for learning Windows Servers? Please let me know. My job demands not to sit inside a data center but to coordinate with Infrastructure Teams for implementing security controls.

In my humble opinion, 2 options for you there...
    Server Admin Fundamentals, the 98-365

Or a full MCP which will start you on the path to MCSA, the 70-410

If it were me, I'd go for the 70-410, it's a tougher exam but will serve you better long term.

Anyone else care to chip in?

The MCSA is an "entry-level" cert.

The MTAs are even lower than that; they are "essentials" or "foundations" certs. It'd probably be best if you go straight to a full MCP/MCTS. (Do you still get an MCTS for passing just 1 of the MCSA exams?)

If you already have a job that demands MS Server knowledge and that's your motivation, then it might be better to forgo a cert for the time being and just brush up on the skills needed for the job. Then when you're a little more comfortable at work, go for the cert.
    Goals for 2018:
Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming
    To-do | In Progress | Completed

I would think that the MCSA 2012 is more of an Intermediate set of exams, IMHO. :) That being said you are far better off starting with the 70-410 (as already mentioned) than taking the MTA 98-365. Its harder, but will get you farther along. Also, when you get your MCSA (3 exams), you would only be 2 exams away from the more advanced MCSE.
