NTP Switch Configuration Help

Hello,
What I am attempting to accomplish is have a Cisco 2960 core layer switch reach out to 2 public NTP servers on the internet to pull it’s time from, and then I ALSO need that same switch to act as a server for my access layer switches with authentication.
I can easily setup the core layer switch to reach out to the public NTP servers to sync it’s time but I can’t seem to figure out how to set the same switch up as a server as well.
Searches online haven’t yielded me any success yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have the 2960 configured to synch off 2 public servers, so when you do "show ntp status" your clock should be synchronized. You will need ip connectivity between core and access layer switches. Using the exact same method as before, "ntp server x.x.x.x" on your access switches will have them synch off the core switch.
As you can imagine the more hops you have the more the clock degrades.Networking, sometimes i love it, mostly i hate it.Its all about the $$$$ -

That makes sense. I was over thinking this. I also need the access switches to authenticate for NTP to the core. That should be a simple config with a md5 key correct?
