2950 Switches to become outdated

Hi! Im thinking of starting my CCNP but will my old hardware used for the CCNA work for the CCNP exams or do I need to purchase new switches? I currently have 2 2950 12 port switches a 2924XL and a 1924. Will this survive through the CCNP cert.

I would think you should be fine with the 2900 series switches. The 1900 series switches would be fine for STP I suppose, but might be confusing for VLAN labs, since the command set is much different.

But since the curriculum/tests are being updated, it's hard to say for sure.

I'm studying for the BCMSN right now and all of my material uses 2950's & 3550's. Don't know what will be on the new material, though.

Thanks for the reply, I don't want my 2950's to get outdated I just bought them for my CCNA and if they are phased out because of the new exam changes it would suck.
