Second Shot Promotion

I've recently started studying for 2012 MCSA and noticed that MS were doing 2nd shots until 31/5 with 2nd exam within 30 days. Unfortunately, I can't get enough study in on time before then, but think it's a good incentive. How often do MS run these 2nd shot deals?

From what I've seen they do it once per year but I've only been looking the last 18 months or so.
