CyberArk

I was approached about an opportunity implementing a password vault known as fiberark(sp). Google didn't know much about it. Is this worth gaining experience with in the security field?

Thanks, that's probably it, cell phone reception. The recruiter was saying it's the next hot thing in security. Is this just fluff or is it a good thing to know?

I'm otherwise very skeptical about the position. It's asking for PMP certification, I wouldn't think that would be applicable for a tech position implementing a password vault.

CyberArk seems very well-known in the space, but I wouldn't exactly call it "the next hot thing." It's just like any other niche solution in the overall security market. I think your recruiter is overselling that part.

CyberArk is a huge PITA, It is not intuitive at all like a lot of its competitors. We used it at a job I had a while ago. and I swear we were on the phone with their support every week because it was either not doing what they said it would, or we just plane could not figure out how to configure it based on the documentation.

That said when it does work it does do some cool things.
