If you could only get one certification what would it be?
![N2IT](https://us.v-cdn.net/6030959/uploads/userpics/navatar259506_19.gif)
Your title and what certification would it be? I ask because I feel that sometimes the approach on this forum is to get a ton of certifications, and while that may very well work for some others might get overwhelmed. So I thought this would be a good way to see what one certification you would get also posting your title. I appreciate your inputRemember only one certification and your title please. Thanks
Title: Business Analyst (Database)
Certification: MCSE BI
Just an FYI not really sure this is the best I could come up with.

Well a CCIE will probably be the most profitable cert
But I think something like OSEE, Offensive Security Exploitation Expert, would be more interesting so I'll go with that one.
My current title is Systems Support Analyst (a JOAT role), but plan on moving towards Security. -

VCDX.
Architect title of some sort though Senior Performance Engineer sounds better for all the right reasons! -

Is it cheating if I say GSE, given that it has multiple GIAC certs as prerequisites?

Assuming N2 is referring to certs w/out lower level cert, then VCP. Easiest way to 6 figures in IT.2018 Certification Goals: Maybe VMware Sales Cert

Interesting.....I've always looked at the VCP-Cloud, but I don't have the experience to use a VCP to get that kind of income, and I'll be darned if I'm taking a step down in my current pay to get the experience.Have: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, eJPT, GCIA, GSEC, CCSP, CCSK, AWS CSAA, AWS CCP, OCI Foundations Associate, ITIL-F, MS Cyber Security - USF, BSBA - UF, MSISA - WGU

Highly doubt anyone would get 100k income with VCP and no exp. -

I don't know what certification would go with it but I would be interesting to work in some kind of high level UI/UX design role. I absolutely hate poorly designed or misleading user interfaces (maybe that's why I like the CLI...it's simple and not misleading). I guess it would be part psychology, part technical, part design, and of course part BS.
As far as more realistic entry level certs, I would go with the CCNA because it gives you a solid foundation to grow a career on. It is more important to understand the fundamentals, which you can then use as a basis to gain more experience.

If I could only do one path, I would go with CCIE: R&S. -

I would say CCIE R&S. It's just top dog for networking - IMHO.CCNP R&S, Security+
B.S. Geography - Business Minor
MicroMasters - CyberSecurity

I'd do CCIE R&S
2nd choice: VCDX-DCV
3rd choice: CISSP+(or higher level) cert.
4th choice: RHCSA/RHCSE
5th choice: MCSA/MCSE
In perspective, networking technology is the most consistent and it changes typically the least in comparison to security, virtualization, other systems, etc. -

I would love to have the CCNP:Wireless certification if time permits. I don't know if this title is valid but I would like to be titled Wireless Network Engineer.
I have a couple more but we only allowed to mention one."It's better to try and fail than to fail to try." Unkown

Since my next target is MCSA: Server 2012, I guess that’s my one certification as things stand. I’d love to do the 74-409 and will use that as an elective for the MCSA. I keep toying with doing ITIL Foundation just for some exposure and experience. I’ve also considered doing the 70-689 for MCSA: Windows 8 but since I don’t use it or have it in the workplace and am highly unlikely to deploy it, I think my efforts could be better focused elsewhere

Ethical Hacking
Job Title: Pen Tester
Current job title: Software tester
Do I like testing software? Yes, most definitely.
My dream job would be testing the security that organizations implement, both physically and logically. I want to be that guy that uses everything possible to take down the organization, gain access (both physically and virtually) to places I should have no access to. It's like being a ninja.
Then again, I think I'm not capable of learning the body of knowledge required for this job so there are many times where I just give up pursuing it.
