When is it a good time to look at other opportunities

i have recently been pondering this topic for a while.. ( i have my own opinion on when its time for moving on.. simply when the environment becomes counter productive for my professional and technical growth)

this leaves for a rather broad reasons.. so i decided to get them out for discussion.

1. none or lack of growth within department or company..

2. PPM.. u can guess this or ask me for answer icon_lol.gif Piss Poor Management

3. lack of skill development ( training) within job/ or developing of skills that will never be used at job

4. Pay .. theres nothing else to be said about this

5. hours no longer fit with personal/ family life ( this is if work is causing conflict at home)

hmm.. i think this is majorly it icon_scratch.gif

I like the top 5 above, and can't really think of really any to add... except maybe if my co-workers wouldn't stop grabbing my ass...

Good topic, I look forward to seeing other posts.

    Lack of appreciation.

    Office politics.

Co-worker stealing all you ideas and getting promoted.

Others getting praised for your hardwork.

those are very good.. i think those would fall under the PPM just in my view but thay may not be the case for others.. i rarely even mention what ideas i have planned to any co-worker

i get labelled as a hard A$$ sometimes but noone can complain about the work. its clean, very detailed and rarely has to be touched again once implemented.. not much i can say for others.... i often get sent in as "clean up man" for others
