What after CompTIA Security+?

Hi Guys!! I m new here !! I am basically studying for Security+ exam. I want to know further studies and exam I can prepare for after passing Security+ Exam.

    That very much depends on your level of knowledge and what direction you wish to take. I presume you are interested in Infosec, but what aspect?

    I am currently following this route: Sec+ (Passed) --> SSCP (passed) --> CISM (December 2015) --> CISSP (2016). I know that it's not the regular route people take, some go straight from zero to CISSP, but that's not for me.

    Sorry but I don't know much about all exams which can take my career up in Security. I am damn new in this. Just after CompTia Security+ certification I was thinking of CCNA Security. What about that?? Is that a good Step? icon_rolleyes.gif .. And BTW you are right. I am interested in Infosec.

    Try OSCP and OSCE (certifications serious for serious people not for faint of heart)

    I hear the CCNA: Security has little ROI.
    Goals: Network+ (Done) -> CCNA: R&S (Done) -> CCNA: Security (Done) -> Security+ (Done) -> ITIL v3 Foundation (Done) -> CASP (Done) -> CCNP: R/S (In Progress) -> CCNP: Collaboration -> CCSK -> CCSP -> CISSP

    Yeah, they did away with some proprietary material that limited the ROI on the CCNA Sec. I actually swapped the CCNA Sec in for my Sec+, will do Sec+ afterwards though as I heard the two complement each other well.

    you should take a Networking course next. I passed SY0-401 and CCNA exams are next. Then I'll go for the CCNP to go with CCNA. The course material doesn't look that hard for CCNP. I'll pass on the first try

    Security is relatively broad field. There are quite a few certifying organisations.
    These are some of the specialisations:
    penetration testing/offensive security
    secure programming/development
    Auditing
    Forensics
    Defensive security/network security
    Incident handling
    Management/Governance
    Researcher

    These are a few of the certifying organisations:
    EC-Council
    Mile2
    GIAC
    (ISC)²
    ISACA
    Cloud Security Alliance (CCSK)
    CompTIA (Security+, CASP)
    Offensive Security

    Additionally, some other vendors will provide certifications in their products or features of their products with a security focus. For example, Cisco offers the CCNA/CCNP/CCIE Security path, and RedHat offers certifications in Hardening and monitoring. Security focussed vendors like CheckPoint also have certifications.

    Not all certifiers are equal, and not every certification from a certifier is equal.

    In terms of current 'demand' (measured by keyword search for certification in job listings in US), the top 5 are CISSP (ISC2), CISM (ISACA), CEH (EC-Council), Security+ (Comptia), GSEC (GIAC). Apart from CEH, these all have a broad focus. CISM/GSEC/CISSP are 'entry to mid level' and roughly similar. CEH is an entry level penetration testing certification. It would be expected that the broader focussed certs would have more demand, since they are relevant across a broader range of jobs. So this information is most useful if you are not sure what you want to do.

    So, do some reading and see if you can decide on an area of focus, check out some of the certifiers mentioned above and their certs, and come back and ask for more advice :)

    Thank You So much for all the information @Octaldump. I m keep on searching the best path to make career in security. Basically I was thinking to achieve CEH certification as I am Interested in Penetration Testing and Offensive Security. So what to do to make myself clear to get a complete established job in that field. And I would also like to tell you that I am from India and I don't Know what kind of Jobs were available here.
