    Yup. The last hurdle in dropping the C# client has been overcome.

    main reason I dislike vSphere 6 is because the web client needs to be on a beefy PC or VM for the web client to 'flow' correctly, the normal client could be on a shitty PC or VM and it opened fine and was fluid.... the web browser one is slow...

    I only sit in the web client if I have too, otherwise I'm in the normal client, the feature difference between 6 and 5.5 don't warrant enough change to not sit in the normal client for normal tasks.I also dislike Adobe like the plaque and the web client requires flash to work, might be why it's so slow...

    Yeap, I've been using it since the Beta last year. At the time, I had added it to the Mastering Book, except in the end it wasn't released.

    I'm still a fat client user myself, but I put this on all of my hosts as of late. Great when a coworker/client turns off Vcenter without checking the host (ie, to add more ram), as I can hop on the web ui client faster than fat client connects to each host.

    Only just today I noticed that some OVAs won't load properly if done with the fat client instead with the web :)

    Yeah, there are a few that require web these days, including the nested vsan one (William Lam's, I think?). So I use it when I have to

    Its a step in the right direction... Get rid of Java and Flash and it will make a huge difference! But I've been running that fling since version 1 and I love it... With version 3, there are already so many changes.

    Can't wait for the Web Client to finally be built on HTML 5.

    There was but it was funky. it used a Local tomcat server to host the client on your workstation, which then connected to esxi. This was supposed to replace the Thick client. Some legal problems happened with that and management so they decided to support/update the Thick client and ditched the "Host client"
