Passed GCIH (challenged)

Hi all, I've been a passive user on this forum for a while during my preparation of CISSP (last year) and GCIH (this year).
Wanted to say that I just passed my GCIH exam.

I obtained a score of 81% and it took slightly over 2 hours.
To be honost, I am a bit disapointed with the exam.. the level of knowledge required is not as high as I expected.
Since my employer does not pay for SANS courses and paying for it myself equals 3 months pay I decided to challenge it.

For materials I used:
Incident response and computer forensics
Blue team handbook
Some pluralsight courses on hacking to refresh what I learned back in the days when doing CEH.

To the exam I took most of the IR/forensics Sans.org **** sheets.

If you have some experience (>1 year), and personall interest in incident response, hacking and computer forensics.. this is not a hard exam.

I think I will try to obtain the GCIA next.. heard it is a lot harder!

Agree - I think its corresponding SANS curriculum, SEC504, should probably be a 400-level class.

IMO, FOR408 and SEC503 provide much more operational value from an IR and monitoring perspective; but SEC504 and the GIAC GCIH certification seem to get much more attention in that regard.
