70-398 - Planning for and Managing Devices in the Enterprise

Here's a new one, just launched in beta. I wonder if this will tie in with 70-697 somehow? I would assume so, but 70-697 is already part of it's own MCSE track so I don't know how they would do it. Think you get the "specialist" title with this one, just like the 70-697.

Yeah, sounds like you only get MCP (if you don't have it) and another Specialist title.

It's interesting that neither of these two "Windows 10" specialist certifications mention that they are Windows 10 in their titles. I am wondering if they will continuously evolve the exam like has been suggested for the OS.

It sounds like it's pretty different from previous things, since it is aimed at the breadth of "Windows devices" which is phones and tablets as well as desktops. There's more cloud and mobility stuff in this. Stuff that didn't really even get touched on in previous 'client' exams.

You would hope that it might get its own MCSA/MCSE track, since it really is a whole field.

I sat this exam today. I reckon i completely bombed out. I'm glad it was free.

If you are not comfortable with Azure, Intune, Office 365 or any of the cloud apps i would not recommend you sit this exam

Right, so there are two specialist Windows 10 certifications now available.
    I understand MCSA Windows 10 is 70-687 + 70-688 + 70-697 (or possibly now 70-398 )

I dont quite know where 70-398 fits into the certification model for Windows 10; if its part of an MCSA/MCSE or if its just a specialist exam but definitely 687+688 (or 689) + 697 gets you Windows 10 MCSA.
