I concur with ssnyderu2. I decided to do the A+, Network+, and Security+ to lay a solid working foundation. The CompTIA certs recently helped me land a decent gig in advanced tech support with an ISP. Watch Professor Messer A+ Free Youtube Video's and do a lot of Practice Tests in Learn Mode, Exam Cram is a great book I used and comes with hundreds of Practice Questions.
