So according to the website the cost for an exam attempt is 1600.00. If I'm self study... any way to bring this down? Buy an aging voucher? Coupon code? Wash San's dishes? Any ideas?
Hello all, I see many references to "books" in "I passed GCED" threads, but no mention of any specific books. I'd love to, but I can't currently afford the price or time of taking a the SEC501 course and would like to start in on a book. What book do people recommend provides the most comprehensive coverage of the GCED…
Have any of you guys/gals taken your cert to the next level by going gold? How was your experience? Is it worth it, as in, does it hold more weight? Is this class worth it? How well will it prepare me for the CISSP? Do you recommend this or GSEC?

Just got the event announcement, although it's been on their schedule for some time. I put in for work study months ago. Hoping I'll get invited again. If you put in for work study and get a response from SANS, post something here so we know they've started to put the word out. Since it's not until April I'm expecting they…
