SANS/GIAC Virtualization Security Certification

I understand that SANS has the SEC579: Virtualization and Private Cloud Security course but as I understand it, they don't have any associated certification or any virtualization security certification.

Does anybody know if SANS has plan to release a virtualization security certification?

For some reason, this topic is super interesting to me.

    Surprising and disappointing, this is what they said:

    There are currently no plans to offer certifications for those courses but we may add one in the future.

    If anybody is interested, when I was at SANS Seattle in October I asked one of the SANS instructors and he said that the Exam and Certification for this class are currently in development.

    +1 for this. I'd much rather do this than ISC2's offering
