ITIL Foundations exam question

I just booked the exam thru Pearson Vue. I have an ITIL v3 Foundations book from ProTech Training and have been signed up for an ITIL Foundations course [Skillsoft] thru my employer. A co-worker told me he took the EX0-117 Fondations exam a few years ago. Are these different exams or is the material going to be good for the exam I signed up for? I see ITIL v3, ITIL-F and the EX0-117. I'm a little confused.

Certainly not like CompTIA where they notify you that you have signed up for (example) CAS-002. Any insight greatly appreciated!

The latest ITIL Foundations exam is the 2011 version. ITIL v3 is the 2007 version. There were minor changes to the 2p11 edition.
