Taking SEC504 in October, any pre-class study materials?

I was selected to be the work study facilitator for SEC504 this October in Seattle. I'm super stoked about it but I don't have much experience with the topics covered. Do any of you know of any materials that would be good to study ahead of time? Would the CEH materials be helpful?

Thanks!

NIST SP 800-61 is a great starting point.

I just recently finished this course, I'd say a good starting point is really understanding Linux commands, windows commands and maybe go over some tools like nessus, metasploit and burp suite. It did feel like it eased you into everything so the material definitely should not be over your head.
