Hi
I have about 15 years of experience in IT and now looking to add some professional qualifications, I dont have and since I am planning to apply for managerial jobs I am looking to do ITIL.
Just had few questions in mind before I actually take the plunge
1) How many days would you need to prepare
2) Which is the best place to get the material to read
3) Any other exams that could help me excel in managerial roles, I was looking at Prince as well
4) How hard is it
I gave a mock exam without reading anything and just using my experience and common sense and I got 35 out of 50 which it said was a pass. Is that really the passing marks or it just made it up.
I am not a software person, i am into everything else except software.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

1)in my situation I prepared for it and sat for the exam in about 4 months.
2) here is the study material I used: ITIL 2011 Foundation Exam: Study Material I Used to Pass - Keyboard Banger
3) after ITIL you may think about project management
4) it's not hard. It's basically a matter of memorizing keywords and learning how "blocks" fit together in the whole ITIL services image.my blog:https://keyboardbanger.com -

including where to get the syllabus and a real sample exam (it's scored out of 40 so the one you took may be someone else's interpretation of it). Good luck with your studies, Claire -
