I'm bringing this back from the semi-dead since I got selected to do Work Study in Chicago for this course coming up in a few weeks. Checking if anyone has feedback.

Ive heard its a pretty good class - lots of hands on AWS exercises. Am keen to apply for work study myself for this one.

Woot! Can't wait for the feedback.  Btw my work cheaped out on SANS this year, and says that it won't be in the budget in the foreseeable future, so I'm looking for a new suitor.

Hey. I’m based in London, UK but selected for Riyadh, Saudi. I’ve seen 545 is pretty popular and always sold out, so really glad been accepted here. Funny thing is I’ve also been accepted for 566 back home in London the following week so tempted to do both. Have my eye on 540 next year at some point.

SANS peeps told me 545 is selling like hotcakes. They are aggressively looking to put people in their pipeline to ramp them up to teach this class. I am seriously considering signing up.

Can anyone confirm if an exam is coming out for 545? Mulling over doing this or AWS Security cert. Anyone done both? Differences/feedback?

Last week at SANS instructor said it IS coming, nod details. Are you just going for the AWS cert self-study or taking their class?

Thanks for letting me know. I was going on a boot camp where exam is on last day but did the training last year too. Just been too busy to do anything. If SANS have the cert I am tempted to do their GIAC and avoid the aws one - only due to maintenance and resitting the exam. Time restricted with self study too.
