Advancing Career Beyond the NOC

Currently working at a NOC for a large federal government agency.  

The overnight hours are killing me and there's really not that much time to study like I thought there would be.

How does one move beyond the NOC to get a position as a Network Administrator / Engineer?

I would direct you back to an old post and say look for more networking opportunities. Also did you finish up the ICND2 yet? Having NOC experience and a CCNA should help you with your job search.
