My ISO at work says its Excellent.
If I had a degree i would shoot for it.. but I dont.
A+, MCP(270,290), CCNA 2008.
Working back on my CCNA and then possibly CCNP.

SANS is very well respected in the security industry, and their GIAC and related training and certificates are the same.

Having the GCFW myself, I highly respect SANS and the prople whom are GIAC certified. If security is your game go for it/them
however, on the negative side, they are rather expensive...
