Congratulations on the pass. Without knowing your prior experience it's difficult to discuss what is your next step. What was briefly called the "Diploma", is now called "ITIL Expert". In order to achieve "ITIL Expert", you are required to have earned a number of credits at the foundation and intermediate levels in order to qualify for the class that will let you earn the "ITIL Expert" certificate.

As far as I can tell, if you are starting new in ITIL v3, you are looking at a solid month+ of just training before having completed the requirements in order to be qualified for the ITIL v3 Expert exam. This does not include the time outside of class spent studying, which has definitely increased with v3 from v2.
Best of luck,

Regarding the ITIL Expert level, it tends to be a distinction held by those with 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management.

Congratulations on your decision, and I wish you the best in your pursuit.
There are no "references for the exams".
The best advice that I can give you is to read and re-read the OGC official publications relevant to ITIL v3.0. Then complete the required coursework and pass the exams.
Here is the link to information about the publications:
