Hi guys,
easy question: I am getting slightly confused as to the material range for the very basic ITIL 3 Foundation,
are these topics included at this stage (is it necessary to go through that ?):
• Service Strategy
• Service Design
• Service Transition
• Service Operation
• Continual Service Improvement
(there are 5 books for each of above available)
Can you advise how to prep best for the exam ?
Thanks.

All of these topics are covered at a high-level in the foundation class. However, it is not necessary at the foundation level to read all 5 books.
The official foundation syllabus with more information is available here:

In my experience, one of the best prep tools for the foundation exam is the official ITIL glossary, available in many places such as www.best-management-practice.com/gempdf/ITIL_Glossary_V3_1_24.pdf

ITILTRAIN Banned Posts: 21 ■□□□□□□□□□You actually need a 65 to pass the exam.
To prep for the exam you have three options:
1. Take a class (we have a online program with a 90 day license for $570. Program includes video lectures, student courseware and mock exams
2. Tank and exam prep program. We offer one for $95. If you purchase an online training program you get the exam prep for free
3. Buy the OGC Library (or some othe rbook) and hope for the best. The training programs are geared for the exam while the general books are not.
