hi....i am master degree student...i want to be an ethical hacker...so from where i have to start....and also for further info. on it........

If you already have experience in security or grasp the general concepts of security, I would start with Security+ (offered by CompTIA) and go from there.

I don't think you can just "be" a CEH as a job; its more like the skills gained from these study/labs will give further knowledge on the hacker mentality (academically) in efforts to help you serve as a network defender. If you're interested in pen testing, there are other certs available ie. OSCP, GPEN, LPT etc.

thanks for information.......i do not have any kind of experience....so should i start with Security+ for Ethical Hacking or go with CEH.......

definatly start with Security+. Get a really good grasp of the concepts. Once you are done with that, get some experience with linux, and start on CEH.

Agreed... start with the Security+ and make sure you are comfortable navigating various operating systems before tackling the C|EH.

you wouldn't want to root a Server, only to realize you have no idea what to do when you're inside...
