Passed GCIA on 9th May.Not received certificate yet!!!!

Hey guys i passed my GCIA on 9th May 2012.

{I would love to mention that this forum helped me a lot to solve all of my doubts.I would especially thank docrice and JDMurray for their help and many other people along the way }

However I did not receive my hardbound certificate till date.

I guess after shipment of my certificate i would receive an email with the details. Should i wait another month or do i contact someone for the same? If so whom should i contact about these details. Can you guys please help me out on this?? I am from India.

In the past it took around 6 weeks to get the plaque (it's a lot nicer than your typical paper certification that you post on a wall). That said, I understand GIAC got their processes smoothened out and I received my GWAPT plaque within a week or two of passing. I'm guessing that since you're in India and international shipping is involved, maybe that's causing a delay.

Oh yeah, and congratulations. The GCIA is not an easy one. It was probably the highlight of my SANS / GIAC experience overall.

Congrats on the pass! My experience with SANS is that the turnaround on plaques is very quick. I just did GSEC and I received my paper cert in less than a week. A number of my coworkers also finished very certs around the same time, and they received their's in much the same time frame. That said I believe docrice is correct, you can expect up to 6 weeks.

But hey, you passed and that is what counts. Hopefully you get your paper cert soon.

Thanks a lot guys for all your wishes. Will try for GCIH in coming 2-3 months. Thanks a lot for all your support. I would wait for another 2-3 weeks and then lets see.
