Asif Dasl Member Posts: 2,116 ■■■■■■■■□□Did my VCP so far this year and I am going to focus on the Server 2012 exams for MCSE:SI, then maybe try and get the new CCNA by the end of the year. Kinda off the boil at the moment due to it being summer, so I'm enjoying the sun more than studying at the moment!

Pat9714 Registered Users Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□I am scheduled to take S+ in about three weeks. I will then go for the N+. Goals for this year include: MCSA (70-410/411/412/413); Linux+. I have already completed A+ successfully. I am not at all certain about getting these cert's done by the end of the year, but definitely by March-April 2014. Grow. Progress. Success. Those are the watchwords I live by!

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModWell, let's see here. Since last years' plans were a wash, I'm hoping to pick some of them up. The only cert I earned in 2012 was ITIL Foundation (today, as a matter of fact,) and a lot of other things just fell to the wayside due to a dead-end job that never went anywhere and a busy schedule otherwise. My schedule will be busy next year as well, between classes and work, but stable and I'll have the money to take exams again. So, for 2013:
-- MCSA: Windows Server 2008
- Taking 70-648 exam sometime in the next month or so
- 70-646 at some point not too long after that
- VCP 5 (Enrolled in the class at my community college, so I'll probably be taking this in the summer)
- MCSA: Windows Server 2012
- Hoping to take the upgrade exam, 70-417, before summer
- JNCIA, since my work now uses primarily Juniper routers, but everything else is still Cisco
- And, if there's time towards the end of the year, I'd like to get back on track with Cisco and go for the CCNP again. We'll see if work and school leave time for it
Let's see if this year is a bit more productive than last year, shall we?
I was planning on taking the 70-648 today, but thanks to starting a new job and a few other things, I didn't have a chance to get any studying done and will have to let it slide on past. Ah well, that just means I can take 70-640 and 70-642 as two separate exams and not feel like I'm getting slammed with two exams-worth of questions in one sitting.
Still on track to take the MCSA Windows Server 2008 and MCSA Windows Server 2012 this year, as well as VCP. I may even get some Windows 7 exams done, thanks to all the deployment work I'm doing at my new gig.
Free Microsoft Training: Microsoft Learn
Free PowerShell Resources: Top PowerShell Blogs
Free DevOps/Azure Resources: Visual Studio Dev Essentials
Let it never be said that I didn't do the very least I could do. - MCSA: Windows Server 2008

PCIP
One of the following certifications: CEH, GCIH, CCNA
Considering I work full time, am in classes for a MBA full time, and have a 7 month old, I think that's it for me. Also, keep the 4.0 GPA going.
PCI ISA done
CIPM done
I think I did OK. But next up for me would be CCSK. Then *maybe* CEH this year. Plus still getting all A's for the MBA. -
GoodBishop Member Posts: 359 ■■■■□□□□□□Next year though, I'm looking at:
ISSAP
CBCP
CCFP
GCIH
CCNA, CCNA+Security, etc...
And graduating with a MBA in Finance. It will be a good year next year. -
drnknmnky Registered Users Posts: 1 ■□□□□□□□□□Just found this website a couple of days ago, but I'm glad I did. Tons of information here. Just passed ICND2 last week as well as completed my B.S. in Network Security.
Moving forward I'm looking at SEC+ and CCNA: Security to finish off 2013. Part of my curriculum included a class based around the 201 SEC+ exam so I'll need to brush up on the differences for the 301, but that shouldn't be too time consuming. Will probably move into CCNP territory for 2014. -
spiderjericho Registered Users, Member Posts: 896 ■■■■■□□□□□Guys, I've sort of been in a certification lull since 2011. I had a daughter born with congenital heart disease and it's just been difficult to focus mentally and emotionally. But I'm hoping to get back on the horse this fall.
2013 :
JNCIA (hopefully next week after reading the PDFs and labbing in GNS3)
ITIL PPO (I failed the exam back in May. I took the exam 2 weeks after the course, I want to retake it in September and get my intermediate certification)
Linux+ (my job is paying for a class through New Horizons in October)
CISM (December 14th exam)
JNCIS-ENT
2014 :
CCNP Security
CISA
CCIE R&S (taking the 10-day INE Course in October and again in 2014)
2015:
MSISA from WGU -
Wagnaard Member Posts: 124Now hoping to take the CEH in Sept. and perhaps the Comptia Green IT (because, well why not).
I'm hoping also to knock out the CCENT and/or CWNP in October and sometime between now and December get a chunk of the MCSA 2012 done.
I'm in the UCSC Extension school's VMWare class so I'll need to take the VCP too. Maybe in October. -

Kold Member Posts: 17 ■■■□□□□□□□I really just started my IT journey in January of this year by completing the A+ and enrolling at WGU.
So far in 2013 I have completed:
CCNA
A+, Security+
MTA: Networking, Security, OS, Web Development
CIW: Foundations, Web Design, Javascript
Goals for the rest of 2013:
MCSA Server 2008
70-680 Windows 7
Project+
I'm really hoping I'll be able to knock out the 4 Microsoft exams in about 4-4.5 months so that I can graduate in 2 terms, but we'll see! -
flyerxl Member Posts: 27 ■■■□□□□□□□So far I've completed MCSA Windows 7.
I plan on finishing the year the 70-686 (scheduled in Oct) and hopefully getting the 417 done by the end of the year. -
W Stewart Member Posts: 794 ■■■■□□□□□□Not sure if I plan on knocking out any other certs this year other than the project+ cert. Next year though I may go after some linux certs.

Master Of Puppets Member Posts: 1,210Looks like I will surpass my cert goals. In May I said I'm going to do CCNP R&S this year but things are looking good and I'll even start my second CCNP.Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,092 AdminSo far I've completed CASP, CCENT, and (finally) CCNA. I was going on to the CCNA Security next, but I'm interested in seeing if the CEHv8 is really an improvement over the previous releases. If I have time, I might do CHFI just to renew my EnCE.

veritas_libertas Member Posts: 5,746 ■■■■■■■■■■I'm seriously considering starting on the MCSA 2008. I'm having difficulty finding any Jr. Network Engineering positions, so I'm thinking diversifying my knowledge may help.

I took a bit longer than expected with SWITCH, and it is obvious that I wasn't ready for 350-001 that quickly. I have heavy study planned for the rest of this calendar year, but no more exams unless they are a work requirement.Currently Working: CCIE R&S

Iristheangel Mod Posts: 4,133 ModBetter progress than me, Instant. Here's what I have so far:
Early 2013 - CEH and CHFI. Don't know exact months
3/2013 - CCNP Switch
And that's it. Hoping to finish CCNP Route in early or mid-October and shoot for TSHOOT in December so I can wrap up my year with a nice shiny new CCNP R&S
Next years goals will probably be the CCDA, CCDP and CCNP:Security (hopefully). We'll see if I can get through 6 exams in one year. Might not be doable but shoot for the stars, right? -
Roguetadhg Member Posts: 2,489 ■■■■■■■■□□Interesting, why CEH and CHFI? Are you still pursuring the security route? In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.
