What's the benefit of setting up vlans in this topology?

I'm doing VLAN activities. One question it asks is what benefit setting up vlans would bring? Before setting up vlans, pc1 can only ping pc4, pc2 can only ping pc5, pc3 can only ping pc6. After setting up vlans, it still does the same. So I really can't think of the vlan benefit here. Can some of you tell me?

ps. delete .doc from the Packet Tracer file name if you want to look into device configurations.

Setting up VLANs like this accomplishes several things. Each vlan is a separate broadcast domain, vlans can be used for security reasons, and separate voice traffic with data traffic. In order to communicate between the vlans, you'll need a router.

Take away the VLANs. On PC2 set the IP address 172.17.10.33. Now do these--

    (a) Try pinging from PC2 to PC1
    (b) Run "debug arp" on the switchport connected to PC3.

These should highlight potential problems if you do not add VLANs to this network topology.
