Bootcamp Style - SEC 401 - Security Essentials Class this month.

I got this in a mail from SANS for my 401 Class this month.

BootCamp Hours:

SEC401: MANDATORY Bootcamp Sessions will be from 5:15pm - 7:00pm on course days 1-5.

What happens in this two hours ?

At the end of each 401 class is time to work on the labs in the back of the 401 books. Lab time can extend far past 7PM if people need extra help. I'll guess that lately a lot of people have been skipping out of the class at the 5PM break, so SANS is making attendance of those hours explicitly mandatory to get the certificate of course completion. Just a guess.

Aha ! Thanks for the response ! I facilitate the class so I guess I am going the stick around for much longer time than the GCIH !

When I facilitated for SEC 401, my typical hours were 8am - 8pm (or 8am - 10pm on days when I covered evening talks)

We dont have any evening talks this time. So I guess its 8 to 8 for me then !

Day minus One was okay. Heard the other 504 class got cancelled . So its just the 401 class.

Packed the bags with the books and the DVD. Got the shirts set with the requested sizes. Classroom ready and the projector working. Could not meet the instructor Mark Hoffman. Menu decided of the breaks and the lunch.

So tomorrow should be fun !
