Some suggestions I could provide regarding your resume.
The top portion of the resume should be eye catching, drawing the attention of the one reading it. Highlight your technical and soft skills, provide a reason for your resume reviewer to continue reading. Talk yourself up (make it accurate and true mind you!)
Traits you might consider also listing if true: "Works well solo or with team", "Excellent customer service skills", etc
Professional experience: You might consider listing things like # of devices managed, total $ worth of devices maintained, total # of users supported, # of help desk tickets solved daily/monthly/yearly, # of desktops supported, # of AD accounts maintained, etc. Any projects you assisted or led on, and what was accomplished. Day to day stuff is fine but places you really stood out in your organization, things that put you above and beyond the other guy.
Keep in mind a resume is designed to get a potential employer interested, not tell your life story. Keep it concise and accurate as much as possible
Cover letters! Write them EVERY time you apply for a job. Google for a practice/framework cover letter and write it for every job you apply for if possible! Tailor it to be specific to the job, how you could contribute, what interests you about the position, etc.
I'd try to have it as follows:
Your contact info
Eye Catching header
Professional Exp with details mentioned above
Technical Skills/Certifications if any
With a cover letter for each specific job attached.
Best of luck to you, hang in there! -

LarryDaMan Member Posts: 797It could help to be more specific in your summary. We are all detail oriented, highly motivated, patient, and good communicators. These are throw away adjectives which do not emphasize your individual skills.

You're in Calgary probably the hottest market in canada for tech jobs atm you'll be just fine just have to give the process time. -
RouteMyPacket Member Posts: 1,104What my honest opinion? I began reading your resume and immediately stopped and went down to the threads. It's not laid out properly IMO.
I am running into a meeting shortly but can give you some tips on what I like to see in resumes when I look over them for candidates.
Leave out a summary, this isn't 1990's anymore...it's a waste. I would structure it
Name
Address
Telephone
Experience
From xx/xx/xxxx to xx/xx/xxx or (Current)
"In my time as Network Technician I had the opportunity to complete many projects, some highlights of my time with CompanyXYZ are as follows
- Bla bla bla
- Bla bla bla
Then after experience I would put
Technical Proficiency from highest to lowest (Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco ISR Routers, Juniper, Dell, HP etc)
Certifications
Education
Do NOT put anything about references (i.e. Available upon request) as they will ask if they want themModularity and Design Simplicity:

middle of the night because of a network problem and had to figure out the
traffic flows in your network while you were half asleep, could you do it? -
RouteMyPacket Member Posts: 1,104Also, if you were studying for your CCNP R/S I would NOT stop. I would actually use this time as a means to put in even more studying/labbing.Modularity and Design Simplicity:

gparmar Member Posts: 12 ■□□□□□□□□□Hello RoutemyPacket
Thanks for your input
My problem is that i don't have much experience in field of IT specially in Canada
i did only one job and get laid off.
all other work that i did id work in Walmart as overnight associate, cashier in Wendy's
and still working as part-time overnight associate in walmart
so how i could i start straight with my experience after name and address section
the things i mentioned in my network job included the projects that i worked
like configuring SBS server for a client, Monitoring a different Client network
rest of work is for my own company which is having max of 40 users.
i configures the wireless network and the VPN for the users. did some upgrades in network including ASA, router and switches changes
and other internal desktop support some active directory issues etc.
right now trying to re-write my resume as you said and post is as soon as i am done
thanks -
