Resume Critique!

Hey, guys. I'd like to get a critique of my resume if possible.

Starting to feel a little unhappy with direction of responsibilities at current job, so figured I'd actually make a polished resume.

Since you have the one really nice certification I may consider dropping the certification section and putting it into your summary which I recommend, or in your name. I think creating a heading certification for one certification is kind of strange. Spacing in inconsistent . Skills with includes troubleshooting of each probably needs to go. Those are just a few. I would maybe look for a template that catches your eye and build around that. Just my two cents.

I added it to my Summary instead.

I took out the under-heading for Skills. Did you mean something else though?

This was a template that I found awhile back, actually.

gbdavidx: It's not very long, however I'm not planning on leaving immediately or really planning at any time. If it continues going in the same direction without changing from my input, I'll likely be more motivated to leave.

Nothing wrong with looking for potentially better opportunities while employed.

Are acronyms looked down upon in resumes? Should I type out "Managed Services Provider" every time I want to say MSP?

Depends on the audience. I applied to a small MSP and used acronyms, which he had no problem understanding (we went over my resume line by line). If your applying to somewhere where its likely your resume will be seen by non-technical people first....then its something to worry about.

If its not the keywords HR likes (CCNA, MCSA, etc...) then id spell it out or cut it out completely and use ambiguous terms.

I guess you got hired with one of these version of you resume so it can’t be that bad but there are a lot of things you could do to make it look a lot better. Starting with your summary (As a certified CCNA) or (As a currently active Certified CCNA) then follow up with a sentence or short paragraph of your three jobs. The second paragraph in your current job would make a better summary then what you have.

Move you skill above work experience and drop a few of the skills and make it double column to save space.

Well, started off as an intern and they didn't ask for a resume because they don't normally do internships so they just kind of let me in. :P So first resume.
