Backtrack 5 R3 for pentests

hello guyz,

I have been having a hard time installing my TP Link TL-WN821N USB wireless adapter to the backtrack 5 r3 distribution.I have tried it running in VMware,Oracle Virtual Box,Dual booting but still no success.Can anybody help me with it.

Are you sure you're using the latest drivers for it?

Is it even seeing the device on the VM (guest) side?
