Before GSEC
Hello all,
I'm looking to sit my Security+ exam in 2 weeks. I'm pretty confident that i'll pass having studied for the last weeks. I then plan to get started studying for the GSEC straight away. Unfortunately, i dont have the cash for the on demand course. So in the mean time, until i save the money, i plan to study other texts to help me better absorb the the GSEC material.
My question is, is there any current texts or even certifications that could better prepare me for the GSEC?
A little background, I've been in IT in a desktop support role for approximately 5 years and i'm looking to move into infosec.
Thanks

Thanks 5ekurity. Dr Coles book was published in 2009. DO you think the content is still relevant considering its 5 years old now. -

SANS courses and their corresponding GIAC tests are continually updated so you'll definitely be one step ahead if you take the class.
Make sure you look into the Work/Study program as it allows you to get the class, on-demand, and the test for just $900.
