ISACA CPE Credits

Hi Guys,

Not too familiar with ISACA's CPE policy but am I required to maintain a certain amount of credits if I only passed the exam but haven't attempted certification yet?

Unlike my CISSP when i first passed that exam i had to maintain CPE credits, 35.

No. CPE requirements are only applicable to those with CISA certification:

For newly certified CISAs, the annual and three-year certification period begins on 1 January of the year succeeding certification. Reporting CPE hours attained during the year of certification is not required. However, hours attained between the date of certification and 31 December of that year can be used and reported as hours earned in the initial reporting period.

The CISA certification is ISO/IEC 17024 certified, which means you need to maintain it via continual education
ISACA call them CPE (continual professional education) and you need to clock 120 CPE hours over a 3 year period.
If you do not, your CISA certification will expire.
