Next Cert, after Security+

Hi all,

i just passed my Security+ exam, and im looking into my next cert or certs before the CISSP.

I've been working in IT since my graduation which was from a Security MSc,so im full time in InfoSec.

What would be your recommendations for which cert or certs to get next? If this helps I'm aiming to be a Director, VP, etc in the far future.

How long have you been working in IT? What is current position? What area of security are you interested in?

There is a post somewhere on here with a bunch of sec certs listed somewhere in this Sec Cert section... I'm a little lazy atm, but I'm sure Mr. Plow will link it soon

I worked while I was at uni, just as a software engineer. It's been almost 2 years now after I graduated, I'm working as a Security Engineer, I've only been exposed to splunk,zap, fortify along with some port scanners. I think application security is what I like but I've never done audits or risk. Which I am interested in Risk.

I do like forensic security but I've only done that at uni. Hard to find a job with forensic security
