CCNA R+S and CCNA Security expiring in 03/17

I'm currently a Sr Security Analyst and don't really use either but it kind of makes me sad that all that work will go to waste if I don't pass a cert soon. We have a network infrastructure team that manages all the network gear including switches, routers, firewalls, etc. Has anybody had a similar situation? Would I be better off going for a different certification that would better serve me moving forward or should I just bite the bullet and cram to pass again?

I was in your situation recently (CCNA R/S and Security expiring 02/17) but I also just moved into a more technical role. My suggestion would be to keep your CCNAs alive, perhaps with another Associate-level track such as collab or wireless, or possibly try one of the NP level exams (doesn't need to be a full NP cert, just one of the exams from an NP track) in something that interests you. Keep labbing and studying the topic at home so that your skills don't completely atrophy as I can almost guarantee you that you'll use route/switch and network security at some point in your security career!

Could you not study and sit for the CCNA Cyber Ops to renew or continue your path?

I didn't even know such a thing existed. I will check it out, thanks for the suggestion!
