Loving My New Gig!

Last Monday I started my new gig as a Mobile Forensic Investigator and I am loving it thus far! My unit deals in a lot of things and I will be the mobile forensic specialist, but will also be allowed to learn and participate in their activities as well. It is nice to be treated as an adult again (been quite a few years since I've experienced that) and my addition appears to be valued. Also, looks like I have an excellent shot at becoming a Detective within a year. Finally, I get to work with just about every unit in the Division and that is proving to be pretty exciting. I also started my first case today and it's a perfect one to begin with. Actually getting to put the knowledge from my Master's coursework into practice and it appears my train of thought is in the right place.

All kidding aside. Yes you should be wearing gloves when examining cell phones.

I'd say roughly 90% of the phones I examine have pornography of some kind on them (legal and illegal).

Fair point! We have gloves around I'll make sure some are by my area and in the van along with the car.

Yep! Not to mention the bloody phones that were pulled off bodies, or the ones that were in a rotting corpse's pocket.
