It seems that SANS loves me to do work studies in Dallas. I will be facilitating the SEC511 course and hope to finish the GMON faster than what it took me to finish the GCIH.

Can you share what requirements or attributes might have led them to select you guys for work study?
I'm hoping to study for some of them but if I can save my GI Bill for something else, I would rather do that -

GI Bill can be used for SOME of these certs if they're part of the graduate certificates or the Master's offered by the SANS Technology Institute, and only for the courses offered in Baltimore. -

That's what they say on their application. I've never had SANS give 4-6 weeks notice. They wanted San Antonio last year and gave the friday before it started. I got moved to Dallas for that year too.Congrats!! So it seems you got about 17 days notice? Geez. The process is random. I was still building my skills in security when I was selected for Dallas 2016 last year. If it will be your first don't expect the big events they hold.
