It varies, some days more than others, depends on work.

Are your courses locked in at the beginning of the term or can you add classes at any time?

Locked in, once you start the term. but you can change them before you start the term. And once you complete your initial 3 classes for the term you can accelerate any class forward in your degree plan.

Get through FXT2 if you can get it done early. The assignments are HUGE, and very involved. I had to resubmit multiple times, so I would tackle this just to get it out of the way.
