Tax Cut Bonus

What are you guys doing with your bonus this year? The company I work for has never given them before this year. The tax cut has allowed them to hand out a modest across the board bonus.

It's been several years since I've gotten one. I suppose I'll put it toward paying my wife's car off early, but I'd really like to put it on this https://star15.com/always-ready-carbine-300-blackout

Well, we all have our vices. I also rather put my extra money towards guns, cars, and home improvements which are my passions. Although I do it, travel doesn't excite me as much.

I traveled a lot early in my career and I've been strong armed by my wife into taking cruises and beach vacations. It doesn't excite me.

If I get any tax cut bonus it is going to my travel fund to Israel and Brazil. I just came back from Iceland and it was exhilarating!!

Guns don't lose value. I would go with a Rock River Arms AR or a nice Nighthawk M1911A1.

Maybe they are if you are in Alabama or Houston area. I'm on the east coast though and no hint of hiring at my location.

I spent mine going to the Oregon coast. It was only $3K (half that went on taxes, though). I have enough saved up and I'm going to Europe for 3 weeks starting on the 25th of this month. I'm doing that, and paying for my CISSP exam so I can't back out. August 2018. No if's, and's, or but's. I'm taking it. It's expensive, so I better pass this thing!

I banked my bonus, building a nest egg because of the uncertainly of my employment situation. I also bumped my 401k up to 20%, stock options to 3% and having an extra $50 a paycheck for taxes. I heard they are not sure of the tax deduction rate for the new tax law, and don't want to get stuck paying a tax bill at the end of the year.

First bonus goes to paying taxes (You'd think 0 deduction = not owing), and the 2nd one funds children's 529.
