The Path too All 9 AWS Certifications

So I Have decided to go after all 9 AWS Certifications In one years Time. This gives me something to do and brush up on my skills. I Got my First official Cert In December that being the Cloud Practitioner Two weeks later I took The Architect Associate and just recently I took The Developer Associate and passed.

Dec 2017 : Cloud Practitioner (Passed)
Dec 2017 : Certified Solutions Architect-Associate (Passed)
Feb 2018 : Security Specialty (Beta) (waiting for results) I Didn't really Study so

Mar 2018 : Certified Developer - Associate (Passed)
Mar 2018 : AWS Technical Professional (Partner Exam) (Passed)
Mar 2018 : Certified Sys Ops Administrator- Associate (Scheduled )

I think I will Post every time I Take and pass a exam. My deadline Is Dec 1 2018 If anyone wants to join lets get it

I am on the same route, with the missing Big Data still pending. I originally planned that for March, but I have to renew both Professionals in June and a lot of projects in the way.

The Advanced Network Specialty you could do after SysOp, I feel the acloud.guru prep course was sufficient but I badly over-prepared and went through CCNA/CCNP R/S, which was not really needed. But it put my mind at ease.

I am very curious on how the Specialty exams will be renewed. Something in my gut tells me, you can't get a shortcut and really have to renew all three of those every 2 years

Both the Professionals are tough, but it sounds like you love a challenge and I guess you will feel they're quite satisfying when you passed.

Yeah I don't count the partner exam in the nine but I do count the cloud practitioner even though they were probably the same difficulty.
For what ever reason I heard that the Advanced networking was supposed to be really hard. And big data im just taking it to complete the set lol. I hadn't thought of the renewal

Clm, what is your study plans like for these certs? You mention you did the CSAA in two weeks. How many hours a day did you study, did you just use ACG?

I might have been a little miss leading sorry but I originally started studying for the CSAA before I took the CCP so total time to study CSAA was a month and spent two days too study CCP properly but they had so much overlapping that it was easy.

as for what classes I bounce back between AcloudGuru And Linux Academy. Acloud Guru will definitely give you the information to pass but Linux Academy Breaks a down a little more for me.

1.So what I do is on my way to and from work 1 hour round trip I listen to either CloudGuru or linux Academy (pretty much anytime i drive Ill listen )
2.I watch AWS deepDive sessions on youtube
3.Whizlabs, acloudguru and Linux Academy Test at least one full test a day (study the ones i got wrong)
4. sometime ill glance over white papers and FAQ.
5. MAJOR KEY ALERT!!!!!! I comb through different boards to see what past testers have seen and specifically target what the say they saw and know it in depth. This for every exam i ever take

I honestly think i can pass them all before the summers up but Im a Volunteer Cop and my agency got new powers So POST is sending us back through a weekend academy so 4 months of weekend law enforcement academy starts march 16th. Im tired Already.

Thanks for that Clm. I'm hoping to do the CSAA in a couple of months, but still feel like I got blown away by the Security Specialty Beta, so low confidence about it at this point.

So My sysops-associate exam is in ten days March 23rd I took the weekend off because Saturday I passed the Dev associate exam.
I just took my first practice test for sysops and i failed with a 58% sysops is definitely harder than the first three exams But in 10 days ill probably put 30 hours into it and see what happens

Update so I was scheduled to exam March 23rd but got busy so im slotted for this Friday march 30th

I usually try to keep clear of any study topics on the last day before the exam though. Helps to let stuff sink in. YMMV.

I wish i could lol. Im horrible at relaxing I usually get to the exam center two hours ahead and review notes in the parking lot. Fingers Crossed X

Today I failed my Sysops exam With a score of 71% I have 14 days before I Retest

Wait, did they up the bar on those exams? I'm pretty sure it was enough to have about 65% back in the day. Very surprised.

Yeah they have i saw a few who had 74 on another board and failed so im going for 90% now lol

Also i forgot to ask you what do you recommend for the advances networking exam ?

For the ANS exam, you can get through it if you watch the acloud.guru prep course and have a solid networking background.

As I was missing that background, I decided to be a bit more involved and went through "IPv6 Essentials - Foundations of the new Internet Protocol" on Udemy (although I had no IPv6 questions on my exam), the majority of the "Learning Path: CCNA Routing and Switching" video course on Safaribooks and specifically the BGP/MPLS sections of "CCNP Routing and Switching ROUTE 300-101 Complete Video Course", also on Safaribooks.

BGP was quite heavily featured on my exam, so that proved to be a good strategy. Usual note of me pathologically overprepping, though.

It's weird. I think the passing percentage is different for every individual test. Each question is weighted. At the end they tell you the percent you got correct, but they don't give you insight into the weighting algorithm for your specific exam version.

I've checked my result from about 18 months ago and I passed with a 72% score. Strange!

Got the email today i didn't pass the Security Beta Lol im 0/2 in April with AWS. Ill finish studing for my retake of Sysops and probably start studying for Security late May.
