Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone is planning on taking this exam in the coming weeks??

I myself have been heads down in the books and banging on my lab hardware with hopes of taking this exam in a couple weeks.

Which did you do first? BCMSN or CCNA:Voice?

BCMSN. I'm working on the CCNP, but figured it couldn't hurt to add the CCNA: V to my resume so I took a couple weeks, got it and now I'm back to the NP.

Since much of VoIP is centered around switching technologies, do you feel that having completely BCMSN was instrumental in passing CCNA:Voice with ease? What are your impressions on having taken that route in terms of the material: BCMSN -> CCNA:Voice?

I don't think having the BCMSN helped too much. The test was mostly practical knowledge, like configuring ephones and ephone-dns, none of that is on the BCMSN. I guess it didn't hurt, but I don't think it helped much.

Was it easy because they asked "powder puff" questions?

Or was it easy because you studied really really really hard and the Cisco Press book was "spot on" as a study source for the exam?

    Did you Nugget? Lab?

Easy in the sense that I work with CUCM environments at work and after reading the cisco press book 3 times the quick book 3's and watched Jeremy Cioara's CBT nuggets, then it was easy :) Plus using GNS3 helped me a lot
But it took me 3 mos to prepare. I always think Im not ready, and question myself. I finally said enough and booked and passed it.

CBT Nuggets a few times. Cisco Press book on and off. Glanced at the Quick Ref Guide -- wish I would have read it! Got loaned 2x 7960's and I slowly figured out CME on a 2610XM. Some PBX experience. Learning voip from scratch -- this was an OK first step I guess.

I am planning to take the voice exam.

Just getting through the wireless one atm, I thought this would be the hardest due to the lab requirements and lack of other study guides available.

Then it will be the voice, security and design in no particular order.
