Over the last week ive studied on average 8 to 10 hours per day

with some days doing 14 hours

im now relaxing with a large Bacardi

waiting to do my exam on Tuesday

If i dont know it now im NEVER gonna pass!

Well it took me 48 Minutes - but i slain "The Beast" it is no more!!!!!

boy was i shocked i thought i was doing an infrastructure exam!

it was more like a Command Line exam!

lots of different styles of questions evolving around "Command Line" Switches and results

only one sim though!

Make sure you study Command Line!

I passed mine today as well. 778. They hit each major section of the exam but left off subnetting entirely. I asked the proctor to leave them off and he laughed.

He said it was an admin exam not a CCNA!

I had a hand full of command line (maybe 5 out of 48 questions.) I had about 7 RRAS, 8 DNS, almost 10 WSUS 3.0 (Shocked on the amount of them) a few DHCP with the rest filled out with Security and GPO. 1 Sim on creating and setting priority on MX records. It was pretty varied I must say.

I used the MS Press book with a LAB setup. I recommend installing modems as my Lab PCs didn't have them which made ICS a little difficult to follow. No phone lines needed. Just the modems installed.

I didn't go through Section 2 in the MS book. Once I got to the end of Section 1 I started right into my TestOut videos and practice exams. I did every Sim so that along with the MS Press LAB I really got a good feel for the server OS.

I took it twice and still haven't passed. Got a 602 the first try and a 677 yesterday. I was literally shocked as I thought I had it.

I scheduled it again for the 16th. I don't want to lose the momentum. I read the posts and bought the transcender hoping that will put me over. I am going to hit up the topics again and then take a practice exam afterwards.

Any other suggestions? Congrats to those that passed yesterday!

That’s too bad, though you're getting closer so that’s a positive, what area's are you weak on? Make sure to brush up on those.
