hi all. just wanted to know if anyone has ever dealt with and got any training from the online security site at Home - World Leader for IT Security Information Assurance and Education or not.

That's the first I've seen it (doesn't necessarily mean it's bad). I'd self-study CEH and then take the OSCP course if you're interested in pentesting.

Solid stuff here as well: Heorot.net InfoSec & PenTest Training

Their pentesting fundamentals course would probably be a good way to start if you're looking at spending that kind of money.

Edit: If you're JUST starting, security+ is the obviously place to start. I haven't used it myself, but others have given positive feedback for Darril's book: http://www.sy0-201.com/

The C|EH online classes from EC-Council are probably cheaper as well.
