Just passed SSCP

Woo-hoo!

I just took and passed SSCP at the Javit's Center on 06/March.
It took me about an hour as I was totally over prepared, I guess it beats not being prepared. I studied as though it was the at same difficulty level as the CISSP.
I studied for about two months.
I used:
The official SSCP study guide.
Cram Session study guide.
CBT Nuggets.
A Wiley book (I forget the title).

But, what actually prepared me most was the classwork I took towards this certificate:
Online Certificate in Computing Security
The courses CT 300, and CT 325 in particular.

My observations are that the questions are somewhat vague and you must pick the BEST answer. Also, I was the only SSCP candidate out of 36 exam takers. There were two no-shows. Only three candidates were women. There were 38 (I think) people scheduled.
2 no shows.
1 SSCP (Me)
2 Other non-CISSP candidates.
33 (roughly) CISSP candidates.

Congratz! What do you do in IT currently?

Only three candidates were women. There were 38 (I think) people scheduled.

Just slightly distracted, or are you a woman?

Congratulations!

I was one of two SSCP exam takers and the other was a no-show. All the 20+ other people in the room were CISSP candidate who had all taken the same week-long boot camp at the hotel. I noticed some surprised looks when I turned in my exam after (only) 2.5 hours. The proctor didn't mention to the room that I was taking a 3-hour exam.

My title is systems administrator, though I really support the desktop.
This is due to company need combined with the economic environment.

I was very distracted.
One of the girls was big boned with too tight jeans, I think she might have been there to take the plumber licensing exam.

I had to tell my proctor that I was taking the SSCP exam, as I was on a separate-the last-sheet, he seemed to assume that everybody was taking CISSP up until that point.

Do you have a BS? Do you have to have one before enrolling for that certificate?

Having a college degree is not a requirement for taking the SSCP exam; a college degree cannot be used to waive the one-year experience requirement of the SSCP cert either.

I have a BBA, and I was required to send my transcripts to Drexel before enrolling.

Before enrolling on what? The SSCP? It's just that you can self-study the SSCP.
