Lab (Virtual Machines)

So im trying to build a lab for 293, 294, and 298.... How many 2003 servers do i need? and how many clients? thanks

It depends on how much of it you want to lab.

If you want to lab pretty much everything, you'd need two sites with two DCs in each site, a couple cert authority servers, a RRAS server, two servers to cluster. You can consolidate some of those roles onto one server as well. Then you'll want a couple virtual workstations to test out various things on the client end.

I use a DL385 with 16GB of RAM, so I have no problem virtualizing multiple machines though. Word of advice... WDS is your friend if you want to go the virtualization route.
