Scripting books....
I bought this:
Amazon.com: Microsoft PowerShell, VBScript & JScript Bible (9780470386804): William R. Stanek, James O'Neill, Jeffrey Rosen: Books
Good choice or no? I have no experience with any language other than C++.

Stanek typically has good books, and I believe I"ve read O'Neill too:
I suspect this will not be your last purchase for learning this material, so you'll be the best judget on whether you think this info inside is helpful and easy to get a handle on or not.
What are your thoughts thus far? Does it seem laid out well and logical?Plantwiz

But "search inside this book" is epic win IMO. -

I read several that way too
Nevertheless, Stanek's material has been well written (IMO). I think if you have 'searched inside" you likely found it somewhat fitting to your reading style, so time will tell!
And again, the first book in a particular discipline one tends to wonder if it is the 'best' choice, but the first book usually just needs to keep one interested and pointed in the right direction...as your flush out your specific interests you'll fine tune the authors/publishers you prefer, but I think for your first...you did well!
Happy readingPlantwiz
