Personality Types

So, I have read a few threads here the last couple of months about "Compulsive Studying" The urge to study etc.. cant get away from the stuff... We want to get away but cant because we love it too much etc etc.

So, I took a personality test months ago, and i have been getting friends to take it. Interesting results, i think it would be good to see what you all are (And im sure you'd appreciate knowing too!)

Thanks for the link. I haven't taken a personality inventory since college. The results indicate I am a strong INTJ also.

My ex girlfriend was a psych major who did these tests to everything that walked by with a pulse. I threw up in my mouth a little when I saw "ISTJ" and the others haha

LOL, it says ENTJ. Now, if I wasn't Dyslexic I could dial that %^&!$ number.

INTJ here. Interesting that Information Systems Specialist is one of the recommended careers for this type.

Actually study MBTI and you'll find some quite interesting stuff. Sure, knowing your own type is a big "duh", but knowing someone else's type is where it gets interesting.

I'm a very strong INTP. We're an odd bunch. Very much "big picture", which is, at most times, not conducive to IT where a strong attention to detail is expected. I make a lot of checklists, as I totally forget all the details of pretty much anything, but I can remember the overall network architecture in full for jobs I worked years ago.

Done several of these through the years and I'm still INTP. INTJ seems to be pretty prevalent in this post so far.

Edit: Apparently I'm an ENTJ today.

Wow a large majority of us have I and J as our dominant personality types. This is interesting stuff, i had the feeling everybody here would have a simmilar line of personality.

Since INTJ is only 1% of the worlds poulation then i can safely assume thats why IT is paid well (Cause there aint many more than INTJ that can do it)

Curious here. I've done tons of research into personality types over the last few months i could switch careers to a psychologist or something...

I've actually studied Jungian and Keirsey theories for years, and have several well-thumbed books on the stuff.

I'm an extremely strong INTP / Architect(Keirsey typology).

I've actually taken several of those tests and some of them have me as INTP and some as INTJ so I guess I'm Schizo type..lol
